Melborne Gup Day 2009 is upon us and Trigger has been slaving away to find you some winners on a tough card. 

Forget about the first with the babies and get ready for Race 2.  The slections in race 2 are 8, 3, 10 and 5 in that order and the first 3 should be good value. 

Race 3 selections are 15, Oak Heart and 9 Think Money who appears a non winner.  Back the 15 each way and you can’t go wrong. 

Race 4 should see the winner being number 2 Ortensia but there is no value.  Trigger says back the 15 each way and take a quinella with 2 as the banker with 1, 7, 8, 9 and 15. 

Race 5.  The form around Avenue is huge and the number 3 will be odds on to win this race.  Trigger says odds on look on but it is Gup Day so you must bet.  Back the 1 and the 3 and you will be in it for a long way. 

Race 6 sees more Avenue form in number 3 but Trigger wants everyone on number 4 So Anyway.  Hugh Bowman warming up for the Gup.  Take quinellas and trifectas around 3 and 4 with 1 and 8 being the other chances. 

Race 7 is the Gup and the up and comer id Triggers selection.  Yes, Alcopop is the pick and while some say it is unders Trigger reckons it is overs.  FYI, it is number 11.  Even better value is my second selection in number 13 Kibbutz.  You may even get 100 to 1 this one. 

I am knocking the top weight even though his form has been outstanding.  Got trodden on on Saturday and may be in the back of his mind.

Plentym of value there and if there is a heap of rain throw in Itsa Kareem 

Race 8, number 8 Sound of Nature is a special.  3 and 13 for the multiples. 

In race 9 our slections are 3, 1 and 7 and all the value is the 3.  Get on. 

Tough race the boot maker but I reckon number 7 Gocanny can finish the day in style for us.  14 will likely start fave but still should be each way odds in a real tough affair.
