Taking odds on England’s triumph in 2015

Magners and the Top 14 are still on hold

Some shorts:

*The Cip has eyes on an England return, now all has changed at the top. Although he plays for Super XV Melbourne side and England’s policy is not to pick overseas players he reckons he’ll turn some heads in this weekend’s Aus/ Baa Baa game.

*Warburton is back to captain Wales v Australia the following week and Rob Howley has signed on his coaching duties with Wales till 2016 – seriously, how Welsh does he look.

*Graham ‘eyebrows’ Henry says 140 Test matches is enough for one man to be in charge of and won’t be gunning for England’s job, although I think he’s keen for a Heineken Cup side, he likes the cut of their footie.

*And Samoa’s manager Tuala Matthew Vaea has been fined 100 pigs by his village after complaints from Samoa’s skipper Mahonri Schualer when he said the management team treated the World Cup as a holiday and went out drinking with the mates the whole time… so did England.

Some competitions now: If you’d like to take part in fool’s rugby comps check out the comps & results page –win a prize! – I should probably check it myself, as I can’t remember what comps are up for grabs, although I do know John Smit is no longer running his XV – that mantle now goes to Richie McCaw.

Send your team(s) to cf.crazyfool@gmail.com – argh yes, teams, that was it - teams.

A willow the wisp of cricket now:

And now ladies and gentlemen a thribble on the light side:

In the snippets

*The Baggy Greens came good in the second Test against South Africa with new lad Pat Cummins taking Man of the Match for his 6-haul with the ball and finishing with the winning runs in a two wicket win.

Day 5 saw the Aussies on 292-8 needing 18 to win. Mitchell Johnson slogged on 40*, Brad Haddin earlier hit 55.

*’Is-it’ Mickey Arthur is the Aussies new boss-fella, and says The Punts will be first on the Board’s agenda; after a slack two years the little-big-man hit 62 against the Yarpies last Sunday and doesn’t look done for yet.

It’s early now and… - I’m done

The team that likes roll mops and partying and belts and rum and temptations and feathers and Steve Finn and proverbs and coordinates and pigeons and tiddly winks and Jessie’s! And spin and the Beatles and Buddy Holly and side-show Bob and Ant and Dec and capes and japes and basketball and indoor cricket and psyche and a good rib-dig and loose ends and first balls and a good roasting, and triple tons and whoa-ha-ha’s and cooking and cradles and Yorkshire puddings…and 2010/11 Ashes, and the Gods

Till next week…
