As sure as eggs are eggs the Big C’s are top of the table, although McKenzie’s fighting Reds my still be but fact is fool ain’t too sure what’s happening this week, as he’s on holiday and is only receiving static info on hearsay and Chinese whimpers; however, Crusaders did hail over the Chiefs 34-16 at Mt Maungamui where Ritchie made his comeback from a sore ankle – should be ok for the wedding then! – and the C’ notched a bonus point with four tries from Luke Romano (Mafia), Robbie Frueaan (Dutch), Sean Maitland (fool’s fantasy) and Andy Ellis (plays for Leicester doesn’t he!)/ Reds, in the meantime soaked up another win, and fool believes keeps them top – they beat Bulls in a thriller in Queensland-land 39-30. Digby Ioane scored the clincher with a chase that outstripped his opponents and a celebration to put any skateboarding doof in the shade – see video/ The Rebels’ late try meant nothing but pride to help a convincing 18-40 defeat to the Highlanders/ Blues took the Tah’s 31-17 with five first half tries in a wet Auckland/ Lions succumbed to Stormers 19-33/ Cheetahs and ‘Canes shared an excellent game at 5 tries to 6 with Cheetah’s and fool’s fantasy favourite Sareli Pretorious sneaking a hat trick despite falling 47-50/ Brumbies and the Mighty Force – dunno… hang on…

Another short blurt on the cricket circuit from fool this week, as 1); it’s just too darn hard to follow the IPL and 2); how about those ‘stanis eh; thinking of rigging their own cash cow from an IPL style league as if there ain’t enough cricket about let alone bomb-chuckers in the mix. 3); fool’s on holiday and definitely doesn’t have the time to tell you about how for the first time since facial hair was mandatory in test cricket an Aussie hasn’t made it to Wisden’s team of the year. OR the fact that the Bangles Tamim Iqbal won the CoY award which he described himself as being ‘happier than Bill Gates’ (he’s not really happy – he’s a nerd – Bill, not Tam – Bill’s a bit like Tom Hanks – certainly not Keith Richards, although fool’s sure Tam could play Tom playing Bill if he chose to act, but probably not Keith – couldn’t do the accent. Not even his mate Mick who’s a cricket nut)… and 4); The Srills lost over £23m in wonga during the World Cup due to overruns – but fool hasn’t got time to tell you about that.
