And now this:

Play of the Day by Phil Drabble

It is Him

The scene: As Bobby runs in the distance turning, as he does to warn Janis of Frampton’s dubious trust, he hits a tree and collapses in a heap. But it’s no ordinary tree – it’s Robbie Williams disguised as a tree. Meanwhile, Frampton continues to woo Janis…

PF: I want you…ou…ou, to show me the way, everyday…

She’s smitten, Bobby’s hitten and she’s bitten by a snake that Frampton suddenly unravels from his satin trousers.

BM: Groan

Janis: You double, crossinnnnnnggggg, ooh was that a snake bite (She throws down the Bourbon) come to me snakey, you slithering creeper of the field, come and take me, take me all, take another pie…fool’s pie, fool’s shepherd’s pie, soon available from Spice Island folks… (she fades, and collapses where she stands, stands up cries ‘evil’, licks her lips at one last thought of the pie, then slumps again.)

PF: Williams, you fat fuck get over here and bring McGee with you. We’ve got work to do

Narrator: Will Janis ever be weaned off despondency? Is the fat boy’s bark bigger than his grip? Will Jimi, Jim and fool save music? Find out next week in…this play. In the meantime, here’s this week quiz:
