Dr. Phil Ology’s word of the week:
“Words, don’t come easy to me, how can I find the way to make you love me, oh words, they don’t come easy…”
BEAT ABOUT THE BUSH
This is another term that comes from the sporting field. To ‘beat about the bush’ is to tackle a subject in a cautious, roundabout way, as opposed to adopt a direct, headlong approach. This mirrors the careful way in which sportsmen might beat a bush to flush out any game that are hiding in the thicket.
Educated Puns
Two silk worms had a race. They ended up in a tie.
Letters: Mr. Troi Oi - Who was that twat singing "bunch of coconuts"? Put ginger hair on him and he'd look like Beaker from the muppets.
Editor - You're right, I'm listening to it now and it makes me want to smash up the computer thingy-ma-jig what's in front of me face - i've spent a lifetime slagging off the yanks for stealing the Enigma etc and there they are again, pre Dick Van D messing up our heritage - I apologise profussly (don't know how to spell that) - it was a moment of haste I uploaded the shite and I shall do the horrible thing and commit death by a hurried curry.

Things that are really getting on my nose, up my goat and around my wick this week:
Things that don’t work – apart from half the British Isles, my internet wireless – properly, the headphones on planes – properly, the remote control for the TV in South East Asian countries – properly, the remote control for the air-con – full stop, saying ouch to relieve pain if you walk into the door – full on.
There’s a pattern there, and when I figure it out I’ll get back to you. Something to do with batteries I think – hence if I had them I wouldn’t have to say ouch every time I walked into a door and therefore that would be one thing off my list of things that weren’t grating my goats cheese this week. Things that don’t work and the word vacation, but mostly things that don’t work - Bastards!
Things that are just Sweet Love:
