Letters: today we are gong to start without a letter

Things that are really getting on my nose, up my goat and around my wick this week:

Just getting things where you want them and some bugger comes along and moves them – bit of a long title I know, but it saves me writing less rubbish here.

You know, if there’s one thing that ruffles me, other than soft cheese sticking to your knife, is after months of organising your station to just the way you like it then you have to move it all because someone else is moving in.

I’ve finally got my desk with all the crap on it I need, such as strewn post-it notes, Union Jack, stubby holders full of pens, money jar, speakers, mug rugs, toilet roll, half finished Airfix model of HMS Victory and a tub of Ambi Pur GEL crystals air freshener (lime flavour).

Then there’s the comfy chair, drawers full of crap, more drawers on the other side full of crap, fan, window with a view of the vegetable patch. Not to mention the bed behind which is a storage shelf for more books, writing pads, more paper, bag and a coloured cut out fish held together by paper studs.

But no, the sister in-law’s coming for a month so I’ve got to ship out. Start all over again and try to find the ambience that one’s cluttered mind of nonsense requires. Ha, the printer running out of ink is a god send – just getting things where you want them and some bugger comes along and moves them - Bastards!
