Groundhog Day

Dr. Phil Ology’s word of the week:

“Words, don’t come easy to me, how can I find the way to make you love me, oh words, they don’t come easy…”

The word is we have no word, but we do have this from the Doc…

Things that are really getting on my nose, up my goat and around my wick this week:

Groundhog day – not the film; that one about the big rat in the forest who predicts the weather. You know, with Chevy Chase, no hang on Bill Pertwee, Bill Withers, Billy Liar, no, no, no, what’s his name again? Stripes – ‘I don’t know what you been told…’ Bill Murray, Murray mints, Murray mints too good to hurry mints.

But anyway, doing stuff over and over, every bloody day. And I’m not talking about cleaning your teeth, which by the way is a load of old tosh suggesting you’ll be more prone to heart disease if you didn’t brush twice a day – absolute codswallop – the link between gum disease and heart disease is about as tenuous as drinking beer and flatulence – are you telling me tee-totallers do not fart.

You who I would like to see fart and no it’s not the Queen, although I bet she can rip up the snooker room. But no, that Bill Murray fella on that fucking big rat’s head, because it’s little rodents like that who it seems are littering my garden. Every bloody day I pick up a new piece of plastic strewn on the grass. It could be an old peg, half a peg, those little bread bag fasteners, pen lids, but one thing that turns up everyday without fail, even though I put it in the bin, is a little bit of plastic that comes with a new fan; it covers the ‘spindle’ I guess you might call it, which protects the metal before you assemble it. So there you go – Groundhog Day - Bastards!
