Not sure what to make of the upcoming season if last weeks first pre-season comp game is any indication.  The centre circle now looks like a tram stop with the inclusion of more line indicating a no go zone before the ball is bounced. 

Still 4 or 5 different interpretations of what is “hands in the back” and what is not. 

Still plenty of soft free kicks and confusing decisions by the umpires. 

Still video reporting which to me is a cop out for the umpires and still plenty of Collingwood supporters claiming the flag after a pre-season win over an ordinary looking West Coast team. 

Same as last year with Mr. Smug being tipped to be the first coach sacked and if Digger was in charge at Port he would have got the sack last week.  Team unity seems a foreign concept at Alberton when the coach says he would have picked another captain at the press conference to announce the captain. 

The Irish bitch when getting beaten up in International Rules matches so they should take a leaf out of Setanta’s book.  The big Carlton Irish recruit laid a couple of left and rights on the Cloke boy and for an encore shoved the toe of his boot up young Clokes poop hole.  Ah well, boys will be boys. 

Benny played a half a game in a Richmond inter club game and all reorts are that he will shine this year.  And speaking of tram stops, Graham Polak played in the game as well. 

Geelong captain Tom Harley is rumored to have a career ending injury however club spokesman says he will be out for a month only.  Who are you going to believe? 

Next week Digger gives his predictions for season 2009 and may have some big name contributors to the column.
