Me old mucker Trigger says that when backing Bart Cummings' horses look for them running in events over 2000 metres and more.  Do not back his 2 years olds if he has any.  He is a master distance race trainer.  Well St. Kilda have got a grind ‘em and slow them down coach when an open the game up and use your strengths coach is required.

And Tip Noble told me once about feeding time at the HCMC zoo when the big cats were feed live ducks and rather than just tucking into the poor ducks they played with them and then started to eat them alive.  Pretty similar to the Geelong versus Melbourne game last week.

Digger had 5 from 8 winners last week but not many pundits did better.

Essendon host the Western Bulldogs and the bullies look set to continue on their winning ways.  Too much speed in their legs for the Bombers.  Essendon need to find more options to deliver the ball to gun forward Matthew Lloyd (who is out injured).  Western Bulldogs by about 5 goals.  One form my fantasy team gone!

The game of the round SHOULD BE Geelong against St. Kilda but it is all up to St. Kilda coach Ross Lyon.  Free them up Ross or you will get smashed.  The Cats will beat the Saints even after their poor showing albeit a 5 goal win last week.  Another from my fantasy team gone!

The North Melbourne outfit clash with the Melbourne misfits this week and should have a handy win.  Melbourne improved last week and are waiting to play Carlton but the Shinboners will prevail on Saturday.

After a blowout in their last meeting (12 points) the West Coast hop on board the plane and take on nemesis Sydney.  The Swans are in good form early in the season while the Weagles struggle.  With Dean "Bog" Cox out of action they have lost their best player and another one from my fantasy team so the Swans should have all the answers.  Sydney by 3 goals.

A much improved effort by Port Power last week and they just failed to get the bickies.  Meanwhile Brisbane was defeated at home and are looking a shadow of what they should be.  Albert Proud another member of my fantasy team has been dropped by the Lions and the Power have named an unchanged line up.  Port to have a solid win.

Hawthorn host the Ravens and with both teams in winning form a close game should be the order of the day.  Hawthorn left it late last week to get in front and the ravens just pipped their cross town rivals.  All up Diggers says the Hawks have far greater fire power up forward and this will enable to get over the Ravens by goals.

Carlton against Collingwood, who cares!  Another loss for the Blues and a big win to the ‘Pies.

Final game of the round has the struggling Tigers from Richmond traveling west to come up against Fremantle.  The Dockers showed true grit last week while it was more of the same for the yellow and black.  Dockers should win right?  Digger is tipping the upset with the Tigers getting u in the last 2 minutes of the game.
