The wise heads at AFL headquarters are going ahead with their plans to establish a second Sydney team.  The Global Financial Crisis not withstanding.  News comes today that Sydney will pare down costs of their football department given smaller crowds, smaller membership and dwindling corporate support.  Oh my, Tasmania is looking better by the moment. 

Maybe Ben will be thrown a lifeline to resurrect his AFL career.  Richmond are seeking to put tram victim Polak on the rookie list and if the mob at HQ agree, they may use a draft pick to get Ben to the Tiges. 

This comes as all the journo’s who have vilified Ben for the last 18 months are now plying their trade writing stories on how the AFL and the clubs are treating him like a pariah.  Pricks.
