The AFL has rejected...

The AFL has rejected the Kangaroos plea for a 12 month reprieve on giving an answer of whether they will move to the Gold Coast.  The AFL want to now plant a 17th team on the Gold Coast by 2010.  The Kangaroos then said they would again play under the name North Melbourne and then changed their mind.  Their new Chairman, James Brayshaw, has been on 2 holidays since taking over the job and was in Perth on Tuesday commentating on the 20/20 cricket.  Priorities son!  Barassi reckons they should have gone.

Ben was at the boxing in Sydney.

Hawthorn are just back from their annual trip to New Guinea.

In breaking news, Glen Archer is the inaugural winner of the Madden Trophy, the players association given to a player who retired in the current year.  What a toss.

And that is about it in a quiet footy week.
