St. Kilda and Geelong remain one and two on the ladder and are both 4 games clear of the third placed Western Bulldogs.  Interestingly third through eight are all on 20 points from 5 wins.  Richmond and Melbourne tail the field with a solitary win each. 

Friday night kicks off the round when Carlton host West Coast.  Both teams were abysmal last week with Carlton appearing to need to hold mother’s hand if too far from home.  West Coast lost at home to Collingwood seconds.  Carlton should bounce back this week. 

Western Bulldogs should have rolled Geelong last week and should have too many guns blazing for the improved Sydney who pay this away game closer to their home ground as the game will be played in Canberra.  Expect a few long sleeve jumpers to be on display.  Stick with the Dogs and you should have the winner. 

North Melbourne takes on Brisbane at Etihad (a little lamb) Stadium.  Brisbane seem to win at home and lose away from home but have a real chance to change that against the up and down Shinboners.  This one is a real toss of the coin match but Digger feels that the Brisbane boys will pull off an away win.  Should be plenty of seats available if you feel like going. 

Fremantle traveled on a plane know known to have Pig ‘flu sufferers on it.  Richmond traveled on a pig known to have been on a plane once.  Freo threw away another game last week while Richmond just lost again.  If the Pig ‘flu has any effect Richmond are a chance and Trigger is going out on a limb (it’s monkey time) and tipping Richmond. 

St. Kilda will kick the sweep this weekend when they thrash Melbourne. 

Adelaide to beat Hawthorn in Adelaide. 

Geelong to win easily against the Essendon boys given thast the Essendon boys will play an attacking game.  They just don’t have enough goal scorers to worry the Cats. 

Collingwood’s gutsy win last week should hold them in good stead when they tackle the Port Adelaide.
