Digger said that Hawthorn would beat West Coast by 10 goals (60 points) and they beat them by 57 points in a uninspiring game.
Carlton snapped the winning steak of Richmond when they beat them by 5 goals. Graham Polak crashed into the knee of Fev and went off with suspected broken ribs. He surprisingly came back on and took some very brave marks. Not to leave it on the field he went out Saturday night and got run over by a tram. Was placed in an induced coma which he came out of Tuesday. Get well soon.
St. Kilda beat North Melbourne.
The Western Bulldogs handed out a 9 goal whipping to Port Adelaide up in Darwin. Cannot remember much of the game even though I watched it. Gotta ease up on the beer when watching rugby.
In the match of the round the struggling Melbourne team snuck over the Brisbane team by a solitary point. In a game the Demons would have been stiff to lose, they had supporters of both teams on the edge of their seat having gone 11 points down with 90 seconds remaining. 2 quick goals on those last 90 seconds gave Melbourne their second win of the season.
Fremantle at home could not get up over Essendon. What a waste of talent these plonkers are.

Geelong travels to Adelaide to meet the Ravens this Friday night and should record a comfortable win. Digger has said before that Adelaide are pretenders and they will get their cum uppence on Friday night. Scarlett is back for the Cats and only strengthen the team that won by 22 goals at their last start. Adelaide indicate they will play attacking football combined with ferocious tackling so we should be in for a high scoring contest. Geelong comfortably.
And as this split round comes to an end we only await Saturday nights game between Sydney and Collingwood. Collinwood seem to have gone backwards since they beat Geelong while Sydney are doing their usual trick of just sneaking along. And sneak along they will again this week and beat Collingwood by 3 goals. I just can't see who is going to kick the ‘Pies goals.
