reviews round 6 and looks at round 7

All fairly straight forward results last week even if I only tipped 6 of the 8 winners.  I thought that Carlton would have gotten over Hawthorn and if Fevola could have kicked straight they would have.  Port Adelaide seem to grow an extra leg in derbies and again did last week.  I really do think the Adelaide is better than Port but I have been wrong once or twice before.

Gary Ablett Jr., and Matthew Richardson were the big name casualties from last week and will miss up to 3 and 12 weeks respectively.  What to do in Super Coach?

Hawthorn should continue on their winning ways when they meet Essendon on Friday night.  The Roughead is flying and Buddy is due to fire while Scott Lucas looks like being given a spell in the magoos.  Hawthorn by 5 goals.

Geelong play Sydney at home on Saturday and even without baby jesus should have too much class for the Swans.  Paul Chapman is on fire and will pick up any slack and McVeigh would be the one I’d play on him.  Geelong really need to put a team away as they have not done so this season.  Weather will play a key and if wet and windy the Sydney boys can pull off an upset.

Richmond play host to Brisbane and could cause a surprise with the absence of Richo being a spur.  Slowly the Tigers skills seem to be getting better but more talk on the ground and accurate hand balling would be a help.  Okay, let’s say it is a wet and windy day and the Tigers will win.

North Melbourne don’t know if they are Arthur or Martha when it comes to what jumper they will wear, where they want to play or who is the preferred coach.  I thought that Port were the problem child of the competition but Mr. Smug appears to have mended the cracks.  To convince me though they need to win this match so I am tipping the lads from Alberton.

Expect Carlton to win on Saturday night as I cannot see Fremantle winning 3 on the trot especially in the wet and windy conditions I am predicting.

The Western Bulldogs have disappointed over the last 3 weeks and I find it hard to see them improving too much this weekend when they play Adelaide.  For a running team they seem to lack a lot of run and maybe there is a bit of miscontent in the western suburbs.  In Adelaide I have to go with the home side.

West Coast should handle Melbourne in Perth and the Demons are having no luck with injuries.  This time it is John Meesen’s turn so there goes another cheap buy in Super Coach.  With no Demon ruckman expect Big Cox to have a day out.  The Eagles will be too strong and will win easily.

Finally, Monday night’s game.  WTF are they doing playing Monday night?  Monday night should be spent with the family and not with the nutters who follow Collingwood.  But Collingwood V St. Kilda it is and the Saint’s will maintain their unbeaten record.
