Here we are, the Grand Final weekend and boy does look like it is going to be a good one.

Geelong and Port Adelaide.  The Cats V The Power.  Bomba V Mr. Smug.

Port Adelaide are a good first quarter team and the Geelong side has also been quick starters.  Could it be that whoever wins the first quarter will become Premiers?  Geelong who last won a flag in 1963 will be keen to go thru the corridor or as they said it my day "up the guts" as they have all season and will hand off the ball when ever they have the chance.

With 9 All Australian rep's. Geelong seem to have a greater number of excellent player where as Port rely on their superstars to bring the lesser lights into the game.

Geelong have the strength over the Power team but big Brendan Lade will be hard to handle.  Geelong have bought in ex skipper Steven King to try to counter Lade and Dean "The Bogan" Brogan. 

Brownlow Medalist Jimmy Bartel will pick up his 30 odd possessions and if Geelong's rotating mid field of Bartel, Ablett, Chapman and the likes control the centre clearance Geelong will be on their way.

Port Adelaide has the experience when it comes to Grand Finals and the old saying of "you have to lose one, to know how to win one" has put things in Port's favour.

You have seen Geelong finish top and Port second so the 2 best teams of the year meet.  Geelong won 3 more games than Port and Port beat Geelong when they last met.

Geelong cannot afford to throw away this chance or they and the entire population of Sleepy Hollow may commit hari kari.
