Ah, September and finals times when a young mans thoughts turn to wine, women and song, the club them song of course!
4 matches in all this week, 2 qualifying finals which should be rippers and 2 elimination finals which look like duds.
Digger expects Brisbane to easily account for Carlton and likewise Adelaide to put away Essendon.
Western Bulldogs won the right to tackle Geelong and the return of Paul Chapman, who I believe is HCMC bound after the finals, swings me marginally toward Geelong. Although the Western Bulldogs seem to have worked out Geelong’s game plan the question is can they do it twice in 4 weeks. In what should be a real humdinger, the Cats in a close one.
Collingwood suffered there first defeat in over 3 months last weekend at the hands of the Western Bulldogs and come up against a St. Kilda outfit that seems to have struggling the past month. It still comes down to, as all matches do, who can kick enough goals and for Digger it’s the Saints. I don’t write off the Magpies but I hear the weather could be dirty which further to me suggests a St. Kilda win. Another humdinger is assured.
Ah footy, you have to love it.
