A split round of...

A split round of matches over the weekend making it even harder for Super coaches to select their teams and considering the amount of late withdrawals and serious injuries from last weekend it is a toss up who will play and will not.

Not that that worries Digger too much.  I will look into the crystal ball and give you the winners none the less.  And speaking of the crystal ball we are at the half way mark of the season and the two teams that Digger picked to fight out the Premiership are currently on, two on the ladder and both undefeated.  Cop that!

Friday night sees Carlton host St. Kilda at Etihad Stadium and it is very hard to see the Blues upsetting the Saints.  AC/DC would have a better chance of defeating the Saints in their current form and doesn’t the AFL have a bit of strife with Etihad Stadium and AC/DC!  Saints in a canter.

Note:  No Saturday afternoon game.

The Western Bulldogs will welcome the Port Adelaides to Victoria and the Port Adelaides will be looking forward to going home.  Simple, Port has no chance.

Richmond has a new coach and they should get off to a winning start for him when the West Coast venture East.

Hawthorn will dull the recent onwards march of Brisbane as it could be a bit nippy for the Northerners when they travel to Tasmania for this match.  Look for Buddy to kick a bag.

And finally this weekend Adelaide will win easily against North Melbourne who will be lucky to run out three quarters given their game effort last week.  Finished the game with only 17 on the track and those 17 will be bloody tired.  Adelaide at home is the safest bet of a very safe round.
