No probs dear chap, but I had to do some research after you questioned my answer and the following is what I have found:
The word caviar entered English via Italian or Turkish; it is ultimately derived from Persian, from khaya "egg" (from middle Persian) khayak "egg," from Old Iranian *qvyaka-, diminutive of *avya-, from pie *owyo-/*oyyo- "egg") + dar "bearing
So there you go, dig the bones out of that lot, and I didn't quite catch the name Sweden in there anywhere:-)
- 5. What language do the words kiosk, tulip and caviar come from? Persian - You sure about that Marc? I'm not certain myself, but I thought it was something like Sweden
